Rather than adhering to fixed structural formulas, I let the prose flow freely as an organic extension of my authentic self. There is a subtle power when words channel directly from their source within the mind, heart, and soul.

The observations contained in these pages stem from quiet moments of inward attentiveness to what moves me. I find insight in the seemingly mundane, resonating with the extraordinary inherent in ordinary life when we pause to notice. Through spare yet stirring language, I unpack my personal revelations, hoping readers may gain fresh eyes to see the wonder always available just below the veil of habit.

Notes from the Heart, Whispers of the Soul

Notes from the Heart by Margaret Ffrench covers the work Margaret composed during the final two years of her life, she died when she was 64, two years after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Each poem is written with a passion which is intended to raise the emotions of the reader.

The work in each poem sets out the inexhaustible journey through the final two years of Margarets life setting out beautiful descriptions of hope, anxiety, and the cry for the chalice to pass but only when she was ready, and her work was done.

Some of her work rails against the preconception of some who assumed they knew best and tried to dictate how Margaret should live her life and when her intelligence is questioned, she responds with the sharpest of reposits. She makes it very clear that no one will condemn her before she decides when the battle has run its course.

Beauty abounds in the poems together with grace, humour, intelligence, and thankfulness, we are given within these poems a unique legacy of the how a beautiful human being comes to terms with her imminent passing and her determination to display her feelings and thoughts in the hope it helps others on their life journey.

At the Blue Door

After penning his previous collection The Lane and Other Poems, Wilson remains ensconced in his Hocking Place residence – known locally as ‘the Lane’ – while compiling this new selection. Each and everyone of us has our own human emotions. Days can be filled with happiness whereas other days can be full of sadness. The uniqueness of one’s emotions can very rarely be understood by others. It is really difficult if not impossible to tell others how you feel or for them to understand how you are feeling. I have tried in this book to cover the inner most boundaries of human emotions splitting my poems into different realms of human thought. My happiest feelings reside in my heart. It tells me daily: ‘Life is beautiful, trust it and it will display you its beauty.’ By doing so, I created my rhymes. I wish to share them. They started in Bosnia and are currently taking a place in Auckland, New Zealand. I truly enjoy its beauty and its sea breeze that I get to feel during my long walks.
