The Cottage Kids Preschool at Tyrrelstown, Lusk, Co Dublin, Ireland was excited to have the author Amanda and TJ at their school on 17th May 2019. Amanda read her book TJ and his Wheelable Chair to the students. She commented that it was an amazing day at the school and she further shared that she communicates with TJ by Làmh signs. TJ demonstrated the way he tells his friends about the news by using a communication switch. He showed how he uses his wheelable chair to move around. At last, pre-birthday party for TJ was also arranged by the school. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to TJ. 

The story of TJ and His Wheelable Chair is about the courage and motivation of a young boy who cannot walk or talk. He shows that disabilities are no barrier to a happy and fulfilling life!

The author Amanda Kehoe is currently residing in Newbridge, Co. Kildare with her family. She is a mother of three kids, born in 1976 in Ballinteer, Dublin. She has studied Marketing, Advertising and Public Relation from Dublin Business School. She has work experience in Marketing and also functioned as a P.A to the Chairman at Nissan, Ireland. In March 2009, she had to let go of her work to take care of her 10 months old son who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Global Development Delay.
