Our favourite author, Natalie Newman, and her book Lark the Shark got featured in Barking & Dagenham Post. On 15th October 2026, Mayor Cllr Manzoor Hussain inaugurated a student library named Our Book Haven in Barking and Dagenham. Natalie was the special guest and also led a short book-reading session at the library. Learn more about the event here.
Lark the Shark is an interesting book for young readers. The story portrays a friendly shark character named Lark, which changes the scary and deadly perspective about sharks.
Natalie Newman and Henry Newman are very passionate about writing stories for young readers. They aim to inspire children to care about nature and be kind towards Earth and the different creatures that exist on Earth.
