The author read some excerpts from her book and regarded her love for Cornwall, the place where she grew up, as an inspiration behind the book.

Cathy Mayes dedicated her life to the betterment of children and families within the health and education sector. Now she is retired and enjoys a blissful life with her family and grandchildren in Cornwall.
