Author Jim Bayliss “Highly Commended” at the Broadway Arts Festival

Author of The Final Voyage, Jim Bayliss has been listed as “highly commended” in The Julia & Martin Wilson Short Story Competition at the Broadway Arts Festival. He gets this title for one of his amazingly written short stories named as “Thursday”. This is listed on the Broadway Arts Festival Website.

 

The book, The Final Voyage highlights that some plans are made by humans for evil acts and then some plans are made by nature. Both of them work in deadly harmony. When the Takapuna Princess was about to leave Auckland, she was targeted in the sabotage in revenge for Britain’s abortive invasion of the Suez Canal. They set the sabotage devices to work when the princess has left Auckland. A natural disaster happened and the ship sailed earlier than expected. This spoiled the whole plan of sabotage. Author Jim Bayliss was in the Merchant Navy. He also has an experience of building industry. Jim studied electronics and spent most of his time in this field. He’s an artist and a music lover. The Final Voyage is his first novel while the second one is King Coal.
