Books Signing Event Held at Waterstones for Gillian Lock’s ‘Vanished’

A book signing event was held at Waterstones Chesham Bucks for Gillian Alice Lock’s book, ‘Vanished’. The author was there at the event and talked to the audience about the book and her inspiration behind writing it.

This is a story about a sudden disappearance of a woman and her dog. Andrea Baldwins usually goes for a walk with her dog, Muffin. Once it turns out to be a life-changing event for them as they get involved in this mysterious phenomena of time travelling. This phenomenon occurs once every year and takes someone back to another place in time. Andrea is taken back to the 17th century where she meets Robert who is the victim of the same incidence.

Andrea is afraid and is confused about this unknown behaviour and the incidents that happened to her, but she finds the courage and takes the situation in her own hands where she eventually realizes that the life in the 17th century is far better than the 21st century.

The author, Gillian Alice Lock was born in 1958 at Alexandra Palace road, Muswell Hill, London. She moved to Buckinghamshire at the age of 4 with her family. She completed her writing course in the early ‘90s and it is when she realized that she has a talent for writing fictional stories. She began writing them as an interest which was a success.
