Guildhall Library organizes visit for ‘A History of London through Beer Goggles’

Guildhall Library recently organized a visit along with the collaboration of author, Cyril O’Brien. The main purpose of the library visit was to make the audience aware of the untold stories and parts of London and the secrets that the city beholds.

The book is about the history of London and its myriad stories that how the city has some unknown mysteries of which its people are unaware of.

From the Great Fire of London to the church-run prostitutes of Southwark, from cockfighting to famous Coke Lane Ghost, from Shakespeare to Shrek and from St Paul’s Cathedral to lovely wedding cakes, the city has unspoken tales which it holds in its civilization.

The author proposes a trip across the city while doing pub crawls and encourages its readers to have a walk around the city’s most desirable and hidden parts.

Cyril O’Brien is retired from London Firefight. He is now working on the safety aspects of London Transportation. He is married to Jackie and has three kids.

He is passionate about trivia and entertainment and loves to socialize.

He also used to manage public-houses before joining Firefight and he has shown a glimpse of his personal life experiences and passions in this book.
