T.G. Trouper, the author of the Astrid Book Series, attended the Essex Writers Event and delivered a book talk. After the event, the author met Scarlett V. Clark, the founder and CEO of Smart Girl Tribe. The pair discussed the strong female characters of the Astrid Book Series. Scarlett V. Clark was impressed and intended to read the books.

The Astrid Book Series follows the story of the main protagonist, Astrid, a girl whose dream of acting is set back when her country is invaded. Through the book series, she becomes a nurse to take part in the war effort. In the second part, she becomes yet more actively involved by joining the military and taking on the role of an assassin.
