Recently, our author Emma Evans was featured on That’s TV Hampshire for her debut children’s book, The Adventures of Unidog and Owlguin: To the End of the Rainbow. The story focuses on neurodiversity, creativity, and personal strengths. During the interview, Evans said that being diagnosed with dyslexia never made her believe she could write a book, yet she recognised her creative abilities and love for art, and this became the foundation of her storytelling.
The Adventures of Unidog and Owlguin is the story of two best friends who set off on a journey to chase a rainbow to its end. Along the way, they must solve fun riddles to continue their adventure. The story invites young readers to take part, making it an engaging and interactive experience centred on friendship, curiosity, and teamwork.
Emma Evans is an up-and-coming children’s author from Hampshire with a background in psychology and educational neuroscience. Her passion lies in supporting children’s development and well-being. She took her own experiences with dyslexia, and Evans creates imaginative characters and playful adventures designed to entertain while gently promoting confidence, understanding, and resilience.
