Bangert Elementary School has requested a full day visit by Margret Scott, the author of Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport. Margret will spend an entire day with the young students and talk to them about reading books and their pets. She will also share her experience of writing a book about her pet. Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport is a storybook about a lovable and gentle Dalmatian. She lives in North Carolina and her name is Jimmy. When she turns three she needs to visit her family in Scotland. In order to get her passport, she needs to visit the vet but she is afraid of the visit and is feeling anxious. Would she be able to be brave and face her fears? Margret Scott spent her early years in the North East of Scotland. She earned her degree in Sports Development and Health Promotion at University. In Northern Georgia, she worked as a Camp Counsellor, Unit Leader and Sports Director. She also worked as an Operations/Program Assistant at YMCA Camp Sea Gull/Camp Seafarer where she met Jimmy.
The Author of Not Another Word!, Judith Logan will be attending her book signing and meet and greet in Alberta, Canada. She can be met at the Coles Books in the Prairie Mall, Grande Prairie. Judith is excited to share her book with eager listeners and customers. Coles Books is a famous book store and a regular spot for reading aficionados. Not Another World! is a mystery novel, an enigmatic tale of perseverance with elements of surprise and twists. The story is of Lacey and Lloyd Jordan and their perilous journey. Their father was sent to prison to serve for ten years and their own mother abandons them. Lacey’s former foster brother and sisters keep missing under strange situations. Lloyd has been lost and nowhere to be seen. The story keeps the reader biting on their nails. Judith Logan has been working as a legal secretary before she started working for the Provincial Court of Alberta. Judith always wanted to become an author. She started writing immediately after her retirement and gifted us with the suspense novel Not Another Word!.
Newcastle under Lyme Library has arranged a full day reading session for local authors at the Literary Day. Christine Johnson is invited to read for the audience from her children’s book Max, Mouse and the Doll's House. She will also deliver a talk for the attendants. This will be a great opportunity to engage with the fellow authors and young reader’s community. Max, Mouse and the Doll's House is a children’s book where Max dreams that the dollhouse he plays with has a passage that leads to an enchanted jungle. In the jungle, accompanied by the mouse he set on an adventure to reunite Charlie the chimpanzee with his family. Christine Johnson is a mother to a wonderful daughter and grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, Max aged 7 and Kristen aged 2. She was born in Staffordshire and graduated in business studies.
The Book Signing of acclaimed novel Louisa will be held at Hotel Los Alcazares in Spain. Book lovers are invited to get their copy signed and enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar. Ashridge visitors Catherine, is hosting a Book Signing Event which will be attended by Kelly Wright. She will be promoting and signing the copies of her children’s book ‘The Bluebell Wood’. A great turn out of attendants for the event is expected. ‘The Bluebell Wood’ is an engaging and informative picture book for children. The story is about a little girl who went to the woods full of bluebells and visited her friends there. Kelly Wright calls Berkhamsted her home and is an educator for pre-school age children. She was inspired to write this book from her childhood memories of a very similar bluebell woods. She also remembers writing a similar book at age 7, almost 34 years ago.
Barnes & Noble will be hosting a major book signing event which will be attended by Mark Miller to promote his book Fear Not All. More than twenty authors of various genres will be on hand for our biannual book signing event! Make sure to get your copy signed from your favourite author. Fear Not All is a fun children’s storybook with interesting illustrations and an important message.
