Author Geoff Swift to visit Lairdsland Primary School for Book Reading and Q&A Session

Lairdsland Primary School has invited the author Geoff Swift to address the students and read his lovely children’s book The Friendly Giant Called Zak and His Friend Rory the Misnamed Monster. The author will read the excerpts from his book and will also answer the interesting questions of the students. The Friendly Giant Called Zak and His Friend Rory the Misnamed Monster by Geoff Swift is a brilliant children’s story full of adventures as Zak, a giant of the oceans and his friend Rory decide to explore all the seas and oceans of the world. During their adventure, they encounter new creatures but all of them are not friendly and want to hurt Rory. Geoff Swift is a former Business Development Director who worked in the services industry.  After his retirement, he decided to write books for children and really enjoyed writing his first series of children’s books. The Friendly Giant Called Zak and His Friend Rory the Misnamed Monster is his debut book.

Author and Champion Sportsman Tom Mcnab to Be Celebrated at the Cinema Museum

The Cinema Museum in London will be hosting an event in which they will showcase Tom McNab’s first play collection 1936: Berlin and other plays. The event will host talks about Tom’s plays and a limited screening of the short film Leni, an adaptation of one of Tom’s Play.  Ready by Tom McNab is a brilliant sports novel that follows the account of decathlete Marty Luther Jones as he prepares to break the 9000-point barrier. Marty discovers that he has been taking a number of different enhancement drugs although not illegal, he starts to question his abilities. The story becomes more interesting as Marty begins to hear voices and encounters an old man which oddly is only visible to him.  Tom McNab is an illustrious sportsman champion and author. Tom has worked with Colin Welland as a script advisor and a technical director on the Oscar Award-winning film Chariots of Fire. He has gifted tremendously in the world of sports as a coach and also as an author of amazing sport books.

G.V. Loewen, the Author of ‘Forgetting the Dreamtime’ to Run a Writing Workshop

Catherine Routley, the author of Auditory Processing in the Classroom to visit WHSmith, Uxbridge to attend her Book Signing Event

The author of Auditory Processing in the Classroom, Catherine Routley will be visiting WHSmith, Uxbridge to attend her book signing event. The will be giving awareness about the children and students down with Auditory Process Disorder (APD). She will talk about the challenges faced by students with APD. This is a great opportunity for the teachers to learn about the techniques to overcome the difficulties they face while teaching such special students. The readers will have the chance to get the signed copies by Catherine Routley.


The Auditory Processing in the Classroom is the book about the awareness of Auditory Process Disorder. The book primarily focuses on the strategies that should be adopted by the teachers in the classroom to create an environment where learning is easy and effective for the students down with this disorder. The book covers the different theories of practices suggested for the teachers by experts to make themselves aware of the disorder and how they can help such special students in learning. The book will also help in raising the awareness about APD. 

Catherine Routley works as a consultant for students having APD. She has worked as an Education Audiologist with many education authorities and is still working in this area. She has also been a teacher for deaf students. Her prime interest is in language development strategies. She has many articles written for education journals on her account

Author Judith Logan Invited to a Library Meet & Greet and Book Signing

Author of Not Another Word! is invited to the DeBolt Library to attend her Library Meet & Greet and book signing event. Judith is excited to talk about her novel and the inspiration for her writing. She will be signing copies of her novel as well. Not Another Word! is a mystery tale beautifully penned down by Judith Logan. The story is about a brother and sister, Lacey and Lloyd Jordan who live an industrious childhood damped by sorrow. Their mother abandons them at a young age and their father is in prison for ten years. The story develops itself into a gripping one when Lacey finds out that her foster sisters were disappearing under very peculiar circumstances. Judith Logan was a legal secretary and later an employee at the Provincial Court of Alberta. She had always wanted to become an author. After her retirement she started writing, Not Another Word! is her first novel.

Partnership Elementary School Invited the Author Margaret Scott to Spend a Day with School Students

Partnership Elementary School has requested Margaret Scott to spend a day with young scholars and share her journey of becoming an author with them. She will be reading from her book Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport for the students and answering their questions. Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport is an interesting children’s book based on real-life events of Jimmy the Dalmatian, who was adopted by a Scottish lady working in the USA. When she turned three it was time for her to move back to her Scottish family, however, to get the passport, Jimmy needed to visit the vet. Can she brave up and overcome her fear of visiting a vet? Margaret is a Scottish author who met Jimmy in North Carolina while working as an Operations/Program Assistant at YMCA Camp Sea Gull/Camp Seafarer. In 2015, Margret returned to Scotland which inspired her as a Children's Author following Jimmy's actual life events.
