Land and Sea Brewery to host the book launch of Jim Toomey’s ‘We were Tourists’

The Land and Sea Brewery at Noosaville will be hosting a book launch ceremony for ‘We were Tourists’. The author, Jim Toomey, will be present at the event to promote his book. Jim has written recollected his thoughts and history and put them all in this book. It encloses stories from his life when he was a part of the band and his travels around the world. He was among the founding members of the musical group as they crafted their way to amazing heights of success. Gigs, TV appearances and the tours around the world are all told from the lens of the man behind the drums. In a series of anecdotes, we find some fast pace, crazy and unforgettable adventures as they travel around the world and get into some amazing and hilarious situations. Jim Toomey is living in Brisbane after spending a life full of travel. He still plays gigs in a jazz and blues trio. He has recently turned towards writing and acting.

Sue Ellis to visit Huntington Primary school for Book Promotion

Author of the book, ‘Proud Patrick Peacock and Other Stories’, Sue Ellis will visit Huntington Primary school in York for the promotion of her book promotion. This is a Children’s book which narrates six different stories. The author presents a ‘bird-eye view’ of the stories. Each of the story is set at author’s favorite locations in Great Britain. These places include Arran, Coniston, Liverpool, York, Sheffield and London. She likes to help children through her stories and inspires them to overcome their life difficulties and to become the best version of themselves. She wants the children to make them self-dependable so that they make the right choices in their lives just as the characters do in the book. This is a lovely read for the kids and parents, grandparents and teachers will love sharing them too. The author, Sue Ellis has been working in the field of education for the past 30 years. She has a wide range of experience in dealing with kids’ problems and bringing the best in them.

Chapters Book Store to Host Book Signing Ceremony for Diana Sare’s ‘Randy The Runaway Raccoon’

Diana Sare, author of ‘Randy The Runaway Raccoon’ will be visiting Chapters Book Store at Thunder Bay for the book signing event of her book. The author will be there for the book promotion. There she will sign the purchased copies of the book. The book is about a young raccoon, Randy who grew up in the city and was nurtured there. He was not fond of the wild and when he is exposed to the wildlife, he gets scared but sooner he finds his way through it. Experiencing many adventures which involve ghosts, unknown animals and people in the foreign environment, he discovers his true nature. This book is full of fun about the experiences of a naive raccoon and a lot of interesting facts about him. The author, Diana Sare has experienced a very adventurous life. She settles in the wilds of Canada for summers and in the remote areas of Panama for winters. She spends her time in gardening, painting and traveling with her husband, Robin.

Book reading/signing of David McCadon's In Digital Pursuit

Digital Pursuit continues the story of criminal Tim Ridgway, first encountered in Following Digital Footprints. Tim has now been sentenced to ten years for his credit card and identity theft crimes and is taken to HMP Dinas Bay in Wales to serve his sentence. This is another enjoyable book from David McCaddon, in which the reader can become re-acquainted with old friends from Midshire Police and follow the threads of the plot which twist and turn in a satisfying manner.

Ben Thexton to visit Book Festival at Prenton Library

Author of the book, ‘An Unexpected Journey- Surviving a Brain Injury’, Ben Thexton will visit Prenton Library for a book festival. The author will be there for the promotion of his book. The book’s story is about a victim of brain injury and how he recovered from it. Ben’s life changed completely when he experienced a road accident that placed his life in great danger. Despite all difficulties, Ben survived and made his way through life after a traumatic brain injury. Ben kept himself busy with life without caring for the limitations and obstacles faced by him due to his accident. Ben got married and had a daughter and it was after that when he asked for help. Ben recovered slowly but another life-changing event put a further strain on his recovery. The author, Bex Thexton is an accountant by profession. He is married and has a young child. He likes to read and to spend time with his family. This is his first book up to the date.

She lives in a small town where every day she wakes up with the hope to find a purpose for her life and wondering if she could actually go on. This is a true story of a woman who is faced by challenges and decisive actions that will either make her swim or sink. It is a do or die game for her. These are the hard lessons that will only make her strong and capable of dealing with her insecurities. The author, Katherine Webster is a designer and entrepreneur. She lost her husband in the very beginning, leaving her with a lot of turmoil in her life to deal with. She is a motivational and enlightened lady and this is her first book up to the date.

Vancouver Central Library to Host Writer’s Showcase event

Author of the book, ‘Driving in Reverse- the Life I Almost Missed’, Lindsay Wincherauk will be going to the ‘Writer’s Showcase Event’ at Vancouver Central Library. The purpose of the event is to provide the local writers and poets with a chance to showcase their published and unpublished work. The book, ‘Driving in Reverse’ is an Autobiography and Memoir of the author. The author describes his story when he used to work at two dismal jobs to pay his Yale town rent. He suffered the sudden loss of his friends and family and was at the edge of life where he wanted a sudden exit. His life changes completely when he is encountered by a number of events and is drove by pain and madness around the world. His story moves quickly as he is in a continuous struggle of finding the hidden pieces of his life. The author, Lindsay is an author and journalist. He is the co-author of many books and is a very good sportsman.

Barnes & Noble to Host Book Reading Event for ‘Justin is a Special Eight’

The Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Cherry Hill will host the book reading ceremony for, Cameile Graham’s ‘Justin is a Special Eight’. The author will be there to read the book and answer the audience’s questions. ‘Justin is a Special Eight’ is about a special child who is Zoey’s older brother, ’Justin’. He is eight years old and very different from her. Zoey is curious all the time thinking that why her brother is the way he is and why he is not like her. She in the depth of her intuition goes to her mommy to ask her about Justin. Together they both explore that how it is good in this world to be unique and different from others. Zoey learns a lot from her mommy and then decides to help her mother in taking special care of her special brother. The author, Cameile Graham was born in Jamaica and got educated in USA. She is a teacher of English Language and Communicative Competency Skills. This is her first published book.
