Book Description

Modern society is not insular but a mixed cultural entity. Some, especially old and especially backed by wealthy narrow-minded individuals, live in a different sphere and try to create a different society, not compatible with today’s world. In this novel, it creates conflict in that person’s family. His own son, as he moved in a different layer of the circle, planned opposite to his liking.

Politics is a nasty game; it does not care what happens to people after electing candidates. This novel describes how a doctor gets caught in the crossfire of this plot with a catastrophic outcome.

This book also narrates how an independent-thinking British Asian young man tried to swim against the tide.

Navara de Wijoo is a retired head and neck cancer surgeon who worked for over forty years. He has seen the agony of a terrible disease hitting many, though luckily only a few children. Navara has come across patients who opened his eyes to some issues. In his view, we cannot write imaginary stories that readers can’t perceive. Even in sci–fi novels, aliens have eyes and ears! His wife is a doctor, a General Practitioner, who is an old-style practitioner and is based in semi-rural Kent. Both used to talk about their own experiences, which made a mark on his mind.
