Book Description

An ancient horror, dormant for centuries, awakens when an uncharted village is discovered under the sea off the Suffolk coast. Identified as Southmere, the village was lost to the waves over five hundred years ago and never rebuilt, with only the woodland atop the cliff retaining its name. However, a single, ancient map reveals the village’s true name: Twinmere. As a campaign to restore the original name gains traction, a retired priest is filled with dread, knowing the horrors that will be unleashed if the name is changed. Desperate to warn the public, he finds himself unable to reveal the true reason behind his fears, and his warnings are dismissed as the ravings of a senile old man. Now, with the campaign to change the name gathering momentum, the priest must find a way to stop the impending doom before the ancient evil is unleashed upon the world once more.

T G Trouper lives with his wife in Essex, England. He has one son, who currently resides in America.

T G worked in live music production for many years, dealing with the technical requirements of some of the biggest artists in the world. Only after retiring to look after ailing parents did he find the time to take up writing, something he regrets not taking up sooner. He is also a singer and guitarist in a couple of bands.

Superb story telling. Very economical style where every word counts which is so refreshing in today's bloated books. The beast is never explained; it just is, which I like. The story moves along at breakneck speed without sacrificing essential detail. As someone who knows Essex / Suffolk coastline well, I could picture the places and scenes. The book finishes without a resolution; again something I enjoy in certain stories and what happens next is very much up to your imagination. I would very much welcome a sequel or story within the world the author has built. The highest compliment I can pay this book is that it would make a great modern Hammer horror film. Highly recommended.

A horror set in Suffolk, England. If you say the name, you summon the beast. It has hints of Dan Brown in it. It reminded me of classic horror films and if, like me, you enjoy monster horror, then this one’s for you.
