Book Description

Trapped in a cycle,

Repeating the same behaviours,

Over and over and over again,

Like Newton’s Cradle,

Who controls the motion?

The answers are inside,

Closer than you think,

Open up and explore,

The unknown isn’t as scary

As people believe,

If the answers are close,

Then why is it so hard?

To break this cycle,

One must believe,

In the light at the end of the tunnel,

I am no guide,

No plan to follow,

One’s path is truly their own,

A direction will appear,

Given time and much reflection.

Katie Hanlon has lived on the South Coast of Devon all her life, and discovered her passion for writing at nine years old. She became a carer for her mother at age thirteen, which became one of the main reasons for Katie to start writing poetry. Now at age twenty-two, she has released her first poetry book to share her experiences.
