Louisburg College has invited the well-known personality and author Ira David Wood III to give a presentation on his book The Russian Galatea on Wednesday 16th October 2019. Ira will be discussing his journey of becoming an award-winning actor, director, playwright and published author. He is an inspiring person with a vast life and career experience. The Russian Galatea is a historical novel that revolves around the investigations of Nicholas Sokolov who is appointed as a legal investigator by the Supreme Commander of the White Army, Alexander Kolchak. Sokolov is looking into the murder case of Nicholas Romanov, the last of Tsar of Russia, who along with his family was massacred in the basement of a house by Russian Bolsheviks. While investigating the house, Sokolov finds an old picture of a young lady. He gets attracted to the lady in the picture without knowing whether she is alive or dead. It is a captivating novel that will be loved by the book readers. The renowned author and award-winning actor, director and playwright, Ira David Wood III lives in North Carolina. He is the founder of Theatre in the Park and nowadays, he is performing the duties of Executive Director.
