Who is Going to Heaven and What About Hell?
Have you ever wondered about the afterlife? Whether or not there is one and if there is, just what it might be like?
My Christian journey began when I was 26 years old and I was full of questions.
As I studied the Bible, the issue of the afterlife started to become very important to me.
Who is going to heaven? Is it just for Christians? What about hell? Is it real? Is it forever? I needed to know.
I travelled down a number of Christian paths, looking for answers and soon discovered that there were different points of view to these questions.
I then made the decision that the Scriptures and the Scriptures alone would be the foundation of my beliefs. I also decided to work from the New International Version because I consider it to be the most reliable translation.
I searched the Scriptures thoroughly and in the process I also made the commitment that I would be completely honest during this process and not try to ‘tweak’ them along any preconceived or preferred directions. If I didn’t like what I discovered, then so be it. God and I would work it out.
I am delighted with my conclusions and would like to share them with you.
I would like to shout them from the rooftops, but this book will need to suffice.

Eternal life awaits, and the Spirit of God resides within believers here on earth.
Our death will usher in the eternal glories of the future. A mighty struggle and a crisis will mark the final chapter of the human race. The book of Revelation provides insight into this future, revealing the ultimate destiny of both the righteous and the wicked.

Study through the Ages
All the authors of the Bible had their way of writing down what they thought, the place where they lived, the current ideas, the situation of the times and the concept of what they were expecting to happen. The words they used over many centuries were left to God to find a way, a script which eventually led to the 66 books of the Old and New Testament.
We find similarities of thought and pattern stretching over the whole Bible that tell us what the Lord would have us think and do. It’s like ‘God’s Manual for Living’. This is one book, the Bible, that explains the truth, not one section or book that we can do without studying. It is primarily based on words. It is true from Genesis to Revelation that we must search and find the way to live, and the book contains the truth.

Songs for the Soul
‘It is a song which illustrates the bittersweet paradox between distance and closeness. Paul McCartney recognised immediately the religious connotations of the song. The words of the song speak of a mother’s watching presence, a comforter of the broken hearted people of the world whose advice is to wait, to trust, and to believe that everything will come right in the end.’
– Ivor Moody on ‘Let it Be’.
Songs for the Soul is a collection of musical musings and discussions from author Ivor Moody. In this book, Moody discusses his own interpretations of popular songs by the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel.
Moody sees popular music as a natural extension of his own spirituality and writes that each of the six songs featured in this book contains, “a treasury of blessings.” He argues that whilst the songs are in fact secular they should not be dismissed or condemned, rather, they are open to spiritual interpretation. That music and the personal meanings we take from it should be incorporated into our everyday worship.
‘From ‘Message in a Bottle’ to ‘Let it Be’, Ivor Moody opens up the deepest messages, and lets these old songs be something new in the minds of the reader. Moving seamlessly from Sting to George Herbert, From Nina Simone to St. Paul he finds the hidden treasures and the spiritual nourishment nestled and embedded in popular song and links them to the great themes of scripture and the great spiritual writings of the past.’
– Revd Dr. Malcolm Guite.

The Proof of God
Breaking with centuries of tradition that say that proving the existence of God is not possible, The Proof of God solves the long-vaunted issue concerning whether God exists. This book argues that ‘God is almost everywhere’ with the effect that proving his existence is very easy; indeed, for over two thousand years, the solution has been expressly set out in the Holy Bible.
Drawing insight from the Scriptures of the Christian faith, this book argues that God’s existence is demonstrated in both the Judges and Prophets of the Old Testament and the Gospel of Christ in the New Testament. By exploring the nature of ‘proof’, this book breaks new ground in an age-old question. Proof, it is argued, is a matter of God imposing Himself on us; it is He who makes the important contributions to our daily lives.
Thus, firstly, Man proves God because of his intricate design and image, and secondly, God proves God through the sending of his Son to the cross to die and resurrect for our sins. Whilst the Christian narrative is well-trodden ground, this book presents it in a light never seen before to definitively conclude arguments about God’s existence in his favour.
