Acclaimed Author Wayne Griffiths Paid a Visit to the South Milford School

South Milford School cordially invited the author of The Adventures of Grandad and His Special Little Grandson, Wayne Griffiths, to read his debut children storybook to the students on 23rd May 2019. The pupils of year 1 and year 2 thoroughly enjoyed the tale of the angry dragon. Wayne said that he had a great time visiting his grandson’s school. The school management wrote in their gratitude note that, “Hi Wayne thank you so much for reading your wonderful new book to the reception, Year 1 and Year 2 yesterday afternoon. It was a lovely story and the children were very excited and engaged. Can't wait for you to return with a new adventure!”

The story of the book is about the life of the villagers, which has been in despair following the attack of an angry dragon that burnt their corps. The dragon lives up on a mountain. No one dares to go there but the brave old man and his grandson decides to climb the mountain and confront the dragon for damages he has caused. Would grandad and grandson make it to the mountain? Would they be able to save the village from dragon’s rage? Find it out in this exciting tale.

The author Wayne Griffiths was born in 1957, he has spent all his life working as an engineer. He used to tell bedtime stories to his grandson using his imagination. He thought to give his imagination the shape of the story. His debut book is a bedtime story that was so much loved by his grandson that he decided to pen it down.
