Author of a Colourful Children’s book, Hayley Matthews Featured in The New Zealand Herald

The New Zealand Herald is a daily newspaper published in Auckland, which featured an article on author of Gratia Park Zoo, Hayley Matthews.  The feature shared the author’s journey of turning her dream of getting published into a reality. The article also shared a brief synopsis of the book and the inspirations of the author for writing her debut novel.

Gratia Park Zoo is a beautifully written children’s book with colourful illustrations and wonderful rhymes. The book is about the five loyal friends of Gratia Park Zoo with unique characteristics. These five friends: Echo the elephant, Shadow the bear, Trixie a zebra, Flit a lion and Chevy the giraffe live in harmony at Gratia Park Zoo. It’s a creatively written book which is a perfect gift for your children.

Author Hayley Matthews currently resides in the Gold Coast, Australia. She moved there from New Zealand with her husband when she was 21 years old. She is a registered Nurse by Profession. Matthews always wanted to write a children’s book. She started writing stories for her sons and during the process, new ideas kept on surfacing and Gratia Park Zoo was born.
