Marc O’Brien novel, The Final Fence: Sophomores in the Saddle, is about two college-going kids who share a love for horses. The novel takes place during the second Regan era. Both main characters enjoy horse hunter jumping and develop an understanding based on respect and patience.

Marc O’Brien is a novelist and poet. His work includes Peter The Peteeatrick Panda’s Playground, Peter The Peteeatrick Panda, The Pandy Chip Pancakes and A Special Person to Ride. A graduate of Barry University in 1988, he specialized in Communication Arts. He currently resides in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
