Pon My Puff Receives Praise in Gina Rae Mitchell Review

Review of Peter Stark Lansley's "Pon My Puff" appeared on the Gina Rae Mitchell Web site, which described the book as a tale of heartwarming storytelling and of days gone by. See the full review here

The tale “Pon My Puff” is an autobiographical one, talking about a boy’s life in the 1920s when he grew up in the Isle of Wight under his grandparents’ guardianship. Readers become acquainted with the village community and its inhabitants. The author manages to combine humor, simplicity, and tenderness, describing holiday celebrations, games, and household activities that prevailed before people had all the amenities of contemporary life. Story also explores deeper themes of family, faith, and belonging.

The life of Peter Stark Lansley was rich and interesting; he started as a student of radio engineering and then worked as a radio officer in the Merchant Navy during World War II, managing to survive a torpedo attack. He worked further in his field after the end of the war and eventually retired on the Isle of Wight.
