Book Launch of ‘Collective Social Intelligence’ by Professor Jeffery Jones

Book launch event of Professor Jeffery Jones’ book; ‘Collective Social Intelligence’ is taking place on August 30, 2018, at the Foy’s Arcade, Level 6, 246 Bourke St, Melbourne, Australia. The author will be there from 6-8 pm to sign copies of the book and will talk about the publication. Every autographed copy that is purchased will be your donation towards Property Industry Foundation. The book ‘Collective Social Intelligence’ tells us about the greatest achievements that are achieved by people by joining their individual ideas in the past. The writer says that if embrace collective social intelligence today, we can put the modern day technology to a better use. He thinks that collective social intelligence can bring people back to a faster track of progress. Professor Jeffrey Jones is an expert in interaction design. He has led talented researchers and students globally for nearly 20 years while he was in Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane. He has been on senior designations in public and private sector organizations. He currently creates collaboration and visualization portfolio strategies to improve government, private enterprise, healthcare, and education at the company, Collective Social Intelligence Pty Ltd.

Paul Grainger is going to Glen Street Library for Literary Lunch

Author of the book, ‘Sailing Everest’, Paul Grainger will be going to Literary Lunch event which is going to be held at Glen Street Library, Belsrose, Australia. The author will be there to promote his book. This is an adventurous book which defines that achievements don’t come as easily as one should stand out all the physical and emotional challenges in order to do so. The author tells the tale of two teenage girls who set out on the adventure of sailing non-stop around the world. They are rivals at first who becomes friends over the radio and in a most exciting climax, one of the girls comes out to save the other one from drowning in the storm-ravaged Indian Ocean. This the story of faith and courage in the hardest of times. The saga not only explains their thrilling journey but also the sponsors, support teams, media and politicians who are involved. The author, Paul Grainger is the son of Elena Grainger who lives in Sydney and is a prize-winning author of Australia’s History.

The Bosworth Medieval Festival to welcome Harry J. Tomkinson

Harry J. Tomkinson’s book ‘Treachery at Bosworth Field 1485’ is part of the exhibit at the Bosworth Medieval Festival 2018 to be held in August. The festival will take place at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park. The author dives into the history of England, to the late 1400s, and brings us a tale of treachery. The King of England, at that time, was Richard III. He is a fair king and is loved by the people. Some stories about him are circulated among the people to make him look bad. This leads to rebellions against him and taking advantage of the situation, Henry Tudor invades and the Battle of Bosworth takes place. The Terrace Kitchen to host Book Launch of Zoe Beesley’s ‘A Sinner’s Gift’

Rotorua’s local author Zoe Beesley will be going to the book launch and signing ceremony of her new novel ‘A Sinner’s Gift’. The author will discuss her inspiration behind the book as well as the difficulties that she has to face in being the first time author. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. The story of the book is about a Police Officer, Fergus Toop, who worked in the darkest streets of London for a decade. He is now standing in disperse with dead in front of him. He has to find the clues in this final breath of light but as he digs deeper, he finds himself caught in the world of buried truths and secrets. The Author, Zoe Beesley was born in Scotland. She graduated in International Relations and Arabic. She has also a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. This is her first novel and she is currently residing in New Zealand.

McNally Robinson Booksellers to host Book Signing of ‘Legacies’

Paul Anderson, author of the book ‘Legacies’ will be going to a book signing event at McNally Robinson Booksellers. The author will be talking about his inspiration behind the book and will be attending a Q&A session as well. The story of the book is about young Nick who sailed with James in 1768 and died two years later from Malaria, but did he? ‘Legacies’ tell the tales of a boy who was sick but survived to sail with Cook two more times. Nick, later on, finds love and leaves London for Better. His life includes a growing family over the years in the Mediterranean, the Arctic, Britain and Canada and in the process, he is followed by adventure, love, bigotry, hope defeat and perhaps the pain of what one leaves behind. Paul Henderson belongs from Winnipeg, Canada. He has been teaching for decades and is interested in history, naval stories and Captain James Cook’s life. He loves to laugh and drink at times. This book is his first novel up to the date.

An event for the children’s book ‘The Duck Trail’ will be held at the Ottery St. Mary Library in Devon. The author, Steven G. Mathews, will be in attendance and will meet young readers of his book. Author brings to life Drake the adventuring duck in his wonderful book. Children are entertained by the inquisitive nature of the duck who likes to wander off and find trouble. One day he has some trouble with his sense of direction and gets lost. He is not able to find his way back home. There is a chance that someone from his family or friends will come looking for him and save him. But he must continue to search for the right way on his own as well, so he can get back to his family. Steven’s children have inspired his stories and he hopes to continue his writing.

Book reading and signing of David McCaddon’s In Digital Pursuit

Join David McCaddon for a thrilling book reading session and. David is an IT systems consultant and has spent the past years specialising in Law Enforcement Computer Systems Development. In Digital Pursuit continues the story of criminal Tim Ridgway, first encountered in Following Digital Footprints. Tim has now been sentenced to ten years for his credit card and identity theft crimes and is taken to HMP Dinas Bay in Wales to serve his sentence. Ever one to use his skills to his own advantage, Tim sets about planning his escape, whilst at the same time the authorities get wind of something big going down in the prison. Midshire Police set up an investigation and follow up various leads, putting two and two together and, in an entertaining fashion, not always coming up with four. This is another enjoyable book from David McCaddon, in which the reader can become re-acquainted with old friends from Midshire Police and follow the threads of the plot which twist and turn in a satisfying manner. David will be signing the book copies at the end of the session as well

‘The History of Skipton’ is Launching at Skipton Library

‘The History of Skipton’ is Launching at Skipton Library Ian Lockwood, the author of ‘The History of Skipton’, will be at the Skipton Library for the launch event of his book. His book details the rich 150-year history of the town. The author has chosen to look at the ordinary people that spent their lives in the town a century ago. Their health, lifestyle, work and recreational activities are talked about in detail in the book. He has covered the Norman Conquest that occurred in the 21st century and has researched the town’s history by looking at old reports and archives. The information included in the book has never seen the light of day until now. Long time Skipton resident, Ian received his degree from University of York. He spent time as the editor of Craven Herald, a newspaper in Skipton, for several years.

Richard Abbott-Brailey to appear on Radio Prudhoe

The author of ‘Azaria Tor: The History Maker’ will be a guest on Radio Prudhoe in June. Richard Abbott-Brailey will talk about his multi-dimensional book and tell the audience about his inspiration behind the story. The plot of the book explores the mysteries of time travel and fate of human life. Questions asked in the book are about how our lives are shaped by events. Some of these events are not even our own doing. Azarias is an individual that does not want to let other people affect his life. He travels to the past and into the future to save lives. Along the way, he also suffers losses that are soul shaking. Yet he soldiers on. Richard was born in London and he went to Watford for his early education. After a break for some years, he went back to school to get his BA (Hons) degree. He spent some time working in the theatre and became a qualified teacher. He currently resides in Northumberland with his family.

Hear J. D. Taylor speak at the James M. Duncan Library

The author of ‘Beauregard: Canine Warrior’, will be discussing his book at the James M. Duncan, Library in Del Ray section of Alexandria. The event is part of the All Alexandria Reads Initiative. Mr. Taylor is part of this initiative that centers around dog heroes this year. The book revolves around a brave military dog Beauregard, who dutifully alerts his team about an incoming attack but is ignored. The unit suffers a fatal attack, only the dog survives. He finds his way to a military officer who understands the importance of having military dogs in the service. The book pays tribute to all military service dogs and shows how dangerous their jobs are and how admirably they perform it.

‘The Mysterious Boy’ to visit Camelford Library

Julie Robinson, the author of ‘The Mysterious Boy’, will be at the Camelford Library at the end of May for a book talk and signing event. She will be present at the library for an hour and will meet the fans of her book. The book follows twins Sarah and Mark on their holiday. They think it is going to be just another holiday until they run into a mysterious boy named Edwin Lavin. The boy is little timid at first but becomes good friends with the kids soon enough. Together they discover a wild garden, a swimming pool that no one uses and the stables. The twins’ holiday takes a turn for the better after they meet the boy, excitement and adventures follow soon. The author is a former N.H.S. worker and now resides in Cornwall with her family. Aside from writing, she enjoys painting and reading.

Break Codes with J. D. Welch

The author of ‘The Darwin Code’ and ‘The Einstein Code’, J. D. Welch, will be at The Geronimo Festival at Arley Hall in May. She will do a reading for fans in attendance, lead a code-cracking workshops and she will also sign copies of her books. The authors love for science and code breaking is apparent in her books. The book ‘The Darwin Code’ is intriguing and full of danger and mystery. Ben and his mother Sue escape danger and continue to pursue people who mean to launch a deadly poison. ‘The Einstein Code’ is full of cryptic messages and puzzles as Ben follows a trail to find his mother. No one believes that she has been abducted so it is up to him to locate her. Jo spends her time taking care of her family and writing. She has held different management roles after getting a Chemistry degree from Oxford.
