Book Description

Penguins dancing hip hop, a seal with curly whiskers and a friendly humpback whale are some of the engaging creatures you will meet in this uplifting collection. Each poem has been inspired by a photograph taken in the Antarctic by the author.

Some are playful and laugh-out-loud hilarious, whilst others are gently informative about global warming and the need to look after our precious wildlife. The poems also explore social issues such as the need for friends, individuality and never giving up.

Full of lively rhythms and different poetic forms, this is a collection that all parents and children will love and learn from.

Suitable for children aged 5 and above.

After initially training to be a pilot in the Royal Air ForceJohn Bishop gained a B.A. and an M.A. in English Literature. He has lived abroad in both the United States and Canada, has two grown-up children and is a keen wildlife photographer. He is very widely travelled and, when not off exploring, lives in retirement with his wife in Wiltshire.
