Mary Ann Wood, the author of the children’s book, The Pricklebottoms: A Collection of Short Stories, is scheduled to host a book reading event. The event will take place at the Almondbank Library (Craigshill), Livingston, West Lothian, on the 10th of May, 2023. The Pricklebottoms: A Collection of Short Stories explores the four stories about a family of hedgehogs and their friends. The illustrated stories are written to entertain children and inculcate the virtues of kindness and empathy. You can get the book from here.  Mary Ann Wood was a nurse in the Royal Army Nursing Corps before becoming an Administrator. This book is the result of her frequent visits to parks and natural landscapes with her grandchildren. She lives in Livingston.
