Our author Alison Bellringer’s children’s book, “Footprints in the Snow”, has received multiple honours at the 2026 Literary Global Children’s Book Awards. The book was named the winner of both the Best Cover Design - Fiction and Nature categories. It was also selected as a finalist in the Adventure, Animals/Pets, and Children’s Literature categories.
It was Published by Austin Macauley Publishers and it’s recognition across six categories highlights both its striking presentation and its engaging combination of multiple elements.
Footprints in the Snow follows Mack and Katrina as they walked through an apparently harmless shortcut through the forest which turned into a frightening encounter with a mountain lion. When the animal begins chasing them, the two children must overcome their fear and race towards safety. The story invites young readers to follow the children’s journey and find out what awaits them beyond the trail of footprints.
Alison Bellringer has been writing short stories for friends and family for many years and enjoys telling stories. Having grown up with her dogs Mila and Smoky, she particularly enjoys including animals and their adventures in her work. Away from writing, Alison plays the trombone and euphonium and pursues freelance photography with sunsets among her favourite subjects.
Alison’s books have received recognition from several children’s and family book-award programmes. The Bronson Escapades and The Wolf Cub are Silver Recipients of the Mom’s Choice Awards® honorary seal of excellence. The Wolf Cub also received two second-place Royal Dragonfly Book Awards in 2024 and a Bronze Medal in the 2025 Moonbeam Book Awards.
Her trilogy comprising Whisper, Lucas and Escape has received the NAPPA Award-winning seal.
