Our author Lisa Wilson and her children’s book, “Buddy the Robot Alien and Friends”, have been featured in the Clacton and Frinton Gazette. The article highlights how Lisa incorporated Clacton Pier and its rides into the story and brought a familiar Essex attraction into Buddy and his friends’ latest cosmic adventure.

In Buddy the Robot Alien and Friends, the extraterrestrial crew returns from planet Zonk to spend a day by the sea with Riley, Hayden and Dolly, the one-eyed dog. Their visit to the pier is full of excitement and fun, but the adventure soon takes a dangerous turn when Snoozy Woozy gets into trouble in the sea. Now the friends must work together as a team to rescue him.
Lisa was born and raised in Watford, Hertfordshire before moving to the coastal town of Holland-on-Sea with her husband, Craig and their son, Riley. The idea for Buddy the Robot Alien originally came from Riley, who invited his parents to create characters of their own. Lisa created Fluff Puff, while Craig imagined Snoozy Woozy forming the beginnings of the series.
