Michelle Cottam’s Book Signing Event- Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner

Two book signing events were recently held for our author, Michelle Cottam’s latest book, Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner. The first event was held on 24th October, 2020 at the Foyles bookshop while the second on Monday, 2nd Nov, 2020 at the Daunt bookshop at Marylebone High Street. At the events, Michelle Cottam spoke about the book and also signed copies for all the attendees. 

Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner is a tourist’s guide for all those who want to explore the city of London. The author takes you on a splendid ride through all sites of attraction, the place has to offer. The journey begins with a historical account of London, focusing on the Roman settlement of Londinium, then the medieval livery companies and significant events like the Great Plague, 1665 and the Great Fire, 1666. The book also sheds light on the facts regarding London tornado in 1091 in Cheapside and London’s famous pigeons. The entire historical tour is presented in an entertaining and heartfelt manner so as to absorb the reader who is sure to stay hooked till the end.

Michelle Cottam is a Londoner, keen historian and a tourist guide. She was interested in the city of London and its history ever since her childhood when she first visited the Tower of London. She started writing about London when she was organising the scripts of her bespoke guided walks. With time, the write-ups transformed into a complete historical guide.
