Obed Figueroa carried out a virtual book reading and interactive game session based on his children’s book, Marcus Learns about the Different Type of Doctors, for young kids at the Forest Glen Elementary School on 8^th May 2021. The second-grade students thoroughly enjoyed the reading session which ended up in an interactive game. Watch this virtual session here.

The book revolves around a young boy named Marcus who has a very keen interest in becoming a doctor. He is also very curious to know what a normal day looks like in the life of a doctor. With his grandmother’s help, he visits a local community health centre and feels excited to meet a variety of doctors. You can access this children’s book here.

The author of the book, Obed, has been associated with the education sector and has been involved in working for minorities at universities and not-for-profits. He has taken multiple initiatives to establish news schools, design workshops and different educational programmes. He has a large number of publications to his credit also.
