Book signing of Great Produce, Real Food at Warrandyte Library

George Radley Will Be Launching His New Book The Therapeutic Charity Shop at Thimblemill Library

On Saturday 7th December, George Radley author of his recently published book The Therapeutic Charity Shop, will be hosting a book launch to celebrate its publication. The book launch will be held at Thimblemill Library at 10 am – 1 pm, and there will be the opportunity to meet and greet George and buy a copy of his book just in time for Christmas. The Therapeutic Charity Shop is a general fiction novel that is a must-read for animal lovers. The story sees the main character Greg feeling very low after experiencing some personal problems but finds peace when he meets the many quirky characters at his local charity shop. These characters range from parrots to dogs and everything in between! This book has been heavily inspired by occurrences in Radley’s own life. Three years ago, he became a volunteer at his local RSPCA Charity Shop, where he edited the newsletter. The goings-on at the charity shop and the volunteers that attended were the inspiration for this book. Brian Sims to Host Book Signing and Reading for His Autobiography

Brian Sims is to host a book signing and reading from his inspirational autobiography; You Don’t Have to Be a Champion... to Be a Winner. This event will be held at Shrewsbury Library on the 18th January 2020 at 12 pm - 1 pm. The event will allow you to meet and talk to Brian Sims, hear an excerpt from his book and also pick up a signed copy. You Don’t Have to Be a Champion... to Be a Winner is an incredibly inspirational title about how Brian himself went from fitting wheels to wheelbarrows in a builders’ merchant, to working in the glamorous and overtly commercial world of F1. This book tells the story of how Brian was able to use his experience in sales to work his way to the top and become a winner! Brian left school in 1963 with just 5 GCE O-Levels and a shattered dream of following in his father’s footsteps as a Royal Air Force pilot. After becoming a Xerox salesman, Brian developed exceptional sales skills and used these to climb his way to the top. Brian has recently been appointed the Motorsport Industry Consultant to the University of Wolverhampton.

Author Mike Huss to Attend His Book Signing at Waterstones, Ashford

The acclaimed author of It Must Have Been the Compo, Mike Huss, will be attending the book signing event of his book on 21st December 2019. The event will be hosted by Waterstones, Ashford. The author will be meeting book aficionados and signing the copies of his book It Must Have Been the Compo for them. It is a wonderful opportunity for the residents of Ashford to meet the author. It Must Have Been the Compo by Mike Huss is a moving historical novel. The setting of the novel is in 1964, just after a war has ended. The protagonist of the novel is a 19-year-old soldier, Jack, who has no idea that another war is about to begin. He is a private soldier, a confidante of generals, a correspondent with a prime minister, an instructor of RAF officers and a bogeyman for the top military policeman. Get to know more about Jack and his life in this astonishing read. Author Mike Huss was born in London. He joined the army when he was just 18 and volunteered to serve in Aden, where he met his wife, Janet. Mike has also been the Personal Director and Tribunal Advocate of the N. Ireland Training Board. It Must Have Been the Compo is his first literary venture.

James may also read some of his favourite excerpts from the book, so this event is a must-visit for all his book fans.   The book Nightshades of New Orleans is an epic thriller set in the mysterious state of New Orleans with all its spooky environment and colourful history of carnivals like the Mardi Gras. The novel is a character-driven story choked with suspense and many diabolical twists and turns that make it an interesting read. New Orleans is famous for its colourful history that includes some notorious hauntings and mayhem which attracts thousands of visitors every year.   The author is an attorney by profession who enjoys writing mystery, thrillers and fiction. James lives in Southern California and has also written the well-received novel titled The Vampire’s Orchids.

Author Anne-Marie Sassoli to Attend Her Book Signing Event at Ringwood Library

The author of the acclaimed sci-fi novel Go Back for Love, Anne Marie Sassoli is scheduled to attend a book signing event at the Ringwood Library on Christchurch Road, Ringwood in the Hampshire county of England. The event will take place on Tuesday 21st of January, 2020 starting from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.  The event will include a short session with the author where she will talk about her book and also try to answer all the burgeoning questions from her fans. She will then read some excerpts from her book for the attendees and will sign the book copies at the end of the event. The book is written for the sci-fi genre and includes familiar concepts like time travel and its consequences. The main character Laura has inherited a mysterious legacy from her aunt who she barely knew. She will then go on to discover that she could travel back in time and trace her aunt’s history. Anne-Marie was born and bred in the cathedral city of Salisbury in Wiltshire. She loves music and poetry from an early age. Soon, she also developed an interest in writing. This is her first book as the author.

Author Gene O'Donnell to Attend His Book Signing at Barnes and Noble

The author of a well-received autobiography The Faces of Crime, Gene O’Donnell is going to host his book signing this month on Saturday, the 18th of January. The event is going to take place at the Barnes & Noble, Sudley Road, Manassas in the afternoon between 12 to 2 PM.   The Faces of Crime is based on the author’s life and career as an FBI Forensic Artist who has travelled the world for 32 years helping law enforcement officials trace down known criminals. He shares vivid details of his many experiences and encounters of drawing close portraits of the unknown criminals with limited evidence more than often. Sometimes, the only witnesses available were the skeletal remains found along a lonesome highway. Any suspect or individual wanted by the police was drawn by Gene. His sketches have helped the law enforcing departments across the US and internationally to nab many criminals on the run or even the unidentified ones.   With a career spanning over three decades, Gene has been serving as the lead FBI investigator for crime forensics in the US. He has led the international training program for police forensic artists at Quantico for over 2 decades. He has since won numerous awards such as the Department of Justice Lifetime Achievement Award and FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Performance for his service.

Gunnar E Garrett Jr. to Host His Book Signing at Barnes and Noble

The author of the acclaimed fantasy novel Through the Land of Illusion, Gunner E Garrett Jr. is going to attend his book signing event at Barnes and Noble on the Grossmont Centre Drive, La Mesa, California. The event is going to take place on the 25th of January this month from 1 – 3 PM in the afternoon. Through the Land of Illusion is a fantasy novel that is set in the magical land of Valgard. Four royal siblings were each given a magical stone by the Gods to assist in peacefully ruling their separate territories. Soon, one of them grows greed and lust for more power and turns against the others that throws the kingdom into turmoil. The daughter of the third youngest royal Cora, 15-year-old Anika is the heir to her throne and has no idea of her origins or her position in the royal family. She comes into the possession of her mother’s stone and becomes the target of strange men seeking the stone. To save the kingdom and her birth right, she must uncover who is trustworthy in her family so that there is peace once again in the kingdom. Gunnar E Garrett Jr. was born and raised in Modesto, California. He joined the US Air Force after high school and worked as the nuclear weapons specialist. Once honourably discharged from the military, he went to study mechanical design and spending time with his family. He grew his interest in writing after one of his daughters showed interest in doing screenplays. Since then, Gunnar has written many screenplays and has been nominated in more than 50 film festivals and global writing competitions.
