Author of the book, ‘Very Short Stories’, by Gul Ozseven will be attending the poetry reading event at Bodrum seaside resort in the Aegean Sea region. The author will be there for the promotion of her book. The book is a poetry collection of a Turkish woman who writes poetry in English. Most of her poems are inspired from the everyday routine life. Her poems can be sometimes very humorous and sad but other times her poems are truly compelling and exciting. Some of the events and places from her poems are imaginary which gives them a fantasy look but it is all about going in depth of passion, compassion, surprise and happiness which can be seen in her poems. She is very creative and engaging in her work which takes the readers to a unique magical land. Gul Ozseven was born in Istanbul Turkey in 1986 and received her B.A (Honors) from Bogazici University. She has also an M.A degree in ‘British Cultural Studies’ from Warwick University.
Waterstones Bromley at The Glades Shopping Centre, plans to host a book signing ceremony for Patricia McDowall’s ’50 Letters from Spirit’: A call to awaken'. The story of the book is about a duckling whose name is Drake and he has this utmost inquisition about nature which compels him to go on adventures and explore his surroundings. It is Drake on a quest once when he gets lost and finds it difficult to catch his way back home. Will Drake find his way home or will he stay there in the wild for long? Harry J. Tomkinson’s book ‘Treachery at Bosworth Field 1485’ is part of the exhibit at the Bosworth Medieval Festival 2018 to be held in August. The festival will take place at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park. The author dives into the history of England, to the late 1400s, and brings us a tale of treachery. The King of England, at that time, was Richard III. He is a fair king and is loved by the people. Some stories about him are circulated among the people to make him look bad. This leads to rebellions against him and taking advantage of the situation, Henry Tudor invades and the Battle of Bosworth takes place. Rotorua’s local author Zoe Beesley will be going to the book launch and signing ceremony of her new novel ‘A Sinner’s Gift’. The author will discuss her inspiration behind the book as well as the difficulties that she has to face in being the first time author. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. The story of the book is about a Police Officer, Fergus Toop, who worked in the darkest streets of London for a decade. He is now standing in disperse with dead in front of him. He has to find the clues in this final breath of light but as he digs deeper, he finds himself caught in the world of buried truths and secrets. The Author, Zoe Beesley was born in Scotland. She graduated in International Relations and Arabic. She has also a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. This is her first novel and she is currently residing in New Zealand.
Paul Anderson, author of the book ‘Legacies’ will be going to a book signing event at McNally Robinson Booksellers. The author will be talking about his inspiration behind the book and will be attending a Q&A session as well. The story of the book is about young Nick who sailed with James in 1768 and died two years later from Malaria, but did he? ‘Legacies’ tell the tales of a boy who was sick but survived to sail with Cook two more times. His life includes a growing family over the years in the Mediterranean, the Arctic, Britain and Canada and in the process, he is followed by adventure, love, bigotry, hope defeat and perhaps the pain of what one leaves behind. Paul Henderson belongs from Winnipeg, Canada. He has been teaching for decades and is interested in history, naval stories and Captain James Cook’s life. He loves to laugh and drink at times. This book is his first novel up to the date.

Author brings to life Drake the adventuring duck in his wonderful book. Children are entertained by the inquisitive nature of the duck who likes to wander off and find trouble. One day he has some trouble with his sense of direction and gets lost. He is not able to find his way back home. There is a chance that someone from his family or friends will come looking for him and save him. But he must continue to search for the right way on his own as well, so he can get back to his family. Steven’s children have inspired his stories and he hopes to continue his writing.
