Gunnar Garrett will be attending a book signing and meet and greet event at Barnes and Noble, La Mesa. This event will be taking place on Saturday, the 25th January 2020, and he will be there from 1 pm to 3 pm. This signing will be promoting his fantasy novel Through the Land of Illusion. This book follows the gripping life of a young girl named Anika. She is one of four siblings who received a magical stone of the Gods to assist with peacefully ruling their separate territories. But when one of the royals becomes greedy for power and turns on the others, the kingdom is thrown into disarray. To save the kingdom and her birth right, Anika must determine who in her family she can trust and who will commit the ultimate betrayal. Once honourably discharged from the military, Gunnar went on to study mechanical design, spending most of his free time with his five daughters. Gunnar was inspired to pursue a writing career when his second oldest daughter, Madison Mae, became interested in the film industry. Gunnar’s screenplays have been nominated in more than 50 film festivals and global writing competitions.
