Wanaka

Hound has a particularly strong sense of smell. He can smell the memories of people and can smell them so strongly in fact that they appear before him as if something real and touchable. In these memories, Hound can walk and talk with the ghosts of people’s past, and—this is the important part—he can make changes, both big and small, wherever he wishes. He may direct someone left instead of right, say something that had not been said before, or even remove a person or event that had bothered the memory keeper.

Men pay Hound to kill their ghosts—to destroy some of their most burdensome memories. They pay him handsomely for his services.

Recently, though, Hound has grown tired of murdering the ghosts of rich, well-to-do men. The violence has taken its toll. He is tired and wants nothing more than to settle down. He wants a simple life, freed from men’s violent histories.

He is tired of being alone with his smells. He needs a friend, someone he can talk to and confide in.

And then one day, he meets Jesse, a man with many ghosts, and together, they form a lasting, and unique, friendship in beautiful Wanaka, New Zealand.

Vorclaw

Spurred on by the unexpected loss of his wife, the military officer Baltus Blackpool plans to enact his revenge by dismantling the decadent ruling council of Vorclaw by building his own cult—The Black Masks! Meanwhile, his son Dru bonds with others and delves into a less respectable career path that his father is forced to embrace. 

Magnus Foehammer, the infallible right hand of Baltus, rears an orphaned elf he names Leif. The elf, raised as a human alongside his adopted brother Bjorn, has no memory of his past but has an uncanny propensity towards good.

Through falling in love with him, she discovers that what she’d been taught to believe about the conflict between the two kingdoms may not be the truth, and must determine which side she’s really on, even if that means going to war against her family.

Transfigured Sea

On the shores of the ocean, Laura and Daphne fantasise that they are mother and daughter, mother and Sea Sprite. They both have problems in their past, which they need to resolve. They set out to explore every aspect of the sea, from an estuary and mangroves to Antarctic waters and the deep ocean. Mother Sea is a whisper of emotion and a memory of intuition. She dwells in the subconscious. Sea creatures abound, from sea urchins and stingrays to dolphins and sharks. Some of these parallel the behaviour of the women. Sea nymphs accompany them and they are assisted by a special conch shell. While they are exploring the sea, the women also explore their own make-ups. Laura remembers interactions with her own mother. Daphne needs healing. However, they have no idea of the profound changes which will come to them.

Poems are scattered throughout the book, which is also poetic.

Tikka

A book for doggie people but also ghost lovers. This is definitely a ghost book and good and evil fight with each other against a background of the moors. The ghost dog Tikka is all that stands between his master’s evil force and a place in the hereafter. Caught up in the titanic struggle is a schoolboy whose love for Tikka puts him in terrible danger. Past and present are blended.

Thorn's Princess

The people of the Forest Kingdom of Ferinatia are alive with excitement and delight as Princess Ranee of Ebrinatia arrives with her family and nobility for the first meeting with her betrothed, Crown Prince Jarel Whitethorn, the Summer Prince and future king of Ferinatia. The Task

The Stone of Athelas

Forced to flee from Kotor’s wraiths through storm and flood, he loses Odra’s magic staff in the flooded canyon. Alone and with no idea what to do next, Gothrin finally stumbles across an imp-like race, who help to find the staff and fight off a wraith determined to take possession of it. These people point the way to where he will find what he seeks, the guardian of the relic made from the Stone of Athelas.

Chased by bands of renegades and Kotor’s wraiths, Gothrin and his new companion Bellatrix finally reach the town and the guardian of the ring. Bonded to the staff during a ceremony, the ring endows it with immense magic, a weapon worthy to challenge the necromancer.

Still hounded by Kotor’s minions, Gothrin and his companions continue the quest. Travelling over hill and dale, through moorland and forest, they are continually confronted by one crisis after another until they finally reach their objective the Land of Nath, where Gothrin finally overcomes his doubts and finds the allies to help him defeat the necromancer.
