The Express and Star Featured Claire Gathercole – a Minaret of Hope and Love

Claire Gathercole got featured in the regional evening newspaper, The Express and Star. This newspaper was founded in 1889 and is based in Wolverhampton, England. The Express and Star covers all the latest news and happenings in West Midlands County and Staffordshire. The newspaper featured Claire’s historical romance novel, Hetty. The photographer from The Express and Star took photos for the feature and shared them with the author afterwards. You can see the photo below.

Hetty is placed in the setting of World War II. A young woman bears the costs of war in the form of a compromised relationship, a presumed orphan daughter, a persistent uncertainty, and a hope for miracles to happen. She is yet to face Will’s return – a deformed disfigured Will. The novel captures the horrors of war accurately and Claire Gathercole, with her strong inclination towards coping and encountering grief with love and hope, conveys her message beautifully.
