A. S. Bhalla is a former Special Adviser to the President of International Development Research Centre (IDRC). His recently published book Imperial India: A Pictorial History was featured in IDRC Alumni Bulletin which shared a brief synopsis of the book and Bhalla’s introduction.

Imperial India: A Pictorial History is a very informative guide book about the rich history of sub-continent India with focus on the architect. Beautiful illustrations of landscapes and fortresses and victory towers of India along with historical monuments that tell a great story and will transport you in history.

Dr Bhalla has taught in notable universities including at Cambridge, Oxford, Yale and Manchester. He has several historical books to his credit and has co-authored many other publications on diverse subjects.
