Clifford Entwistle was invited by BBC Hereford and Worcester Radio to talk about the book he wrote based on the true events from the life of his son. The case of Neil Entwistle received much media attention in 2008, the release of the book ‘Neil's Story: Trial by Media’ near the end of 2018 is bringing a different kind of attention to the case now. Cliff shared in the interview that this book has offered him a chance to tell the world his side of the story.

‘Neil's Story: Trial by Media’ is a crime story based on true events which reveal how media can influence law enforcement. Neil was the immediate suspect when his wife and baby daughter found dead in their bedroom. Cliff Entwistle reveals with remarkable objectivity, the inconsistencies in the investigation, the lies told and the key forensic evidence withheld from the medical examiner, and with touchingly personal candour, he shares the pain he felt at the great loss and betrayal his family suffered.

Cliff Entwistle and his wife Yvonne for over forty years raised a family together. Cliff worked as a coal miner for over twenty-five years, and today instructs forklift truck drivers. He has also been a sitting district councillor for Bassetlaw for over eighteen years. Cliff enjoys working on his home and garden and visiting historic sites around the UK. He also writes on various topics and recently has been published in a national magazine.
