Our incredible author, Garry Baker, gets featured by Hartlepool Life for his book, Yes Son. The article titled Novel ‘lifetime’s dream’ for Garry talked about how getting published was Garry’s childhood dream. He wrote this novel while battling long-term mental health issues and depression. Yes Son tells the story of Madeleine whose life shatters when her rich fiancé, Jake, breaks up with her when she gets pregnant. Garry Baker was born in Ashington, Northumberland. He worked for 5 years as a wage/administration clerk in various nuclear power stations. He also has volunteered at Kyle’s Dream, which is a non-profit community organization where he did film-making and script-writing. Garry is currently living in Hartlepool, Co Durham.
