Charles L. Lindley was born in 1903. He became a B.Sc. with many varied interests in Mathematics and Astronomy and was always absorbed in hobbies. In particular he enjoyed writing fiction and technical articles, composing music, photography and steam railways. But this was the only novel he ever attempted.
