Anthony R. Mc Collin
Anthony R. Mc Collin is a poet, educator and motivational speaker from the Caribbean twin island, State of Trinidad and Tobago. Born in 1990, he grew up in Clifton Hill, in the Capital City of Trinidad. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies (Andrews University), a Masters of Science Degree in Government (University of the West Indies) and a Diploma in Management (UWI School of Business & Applied Studies). Despite being a closet writer for most of his life, Anthony believes that poetry is an excellent medium to address critical issues through focusing on topics such as social inequity, hatred, crimes, corruption, gender, sexuality, poverty, religious intolerance, politics, youth and relationships. His approach to writing incorporates the common practice in the Caribbean of storytelling and seeks to reach the hearts, minds and consciences of readers, in order to bring about greater awareness, responsiveness and inclusivity.
