The author was born and brought up in Co Down, NI – of farming stock and Christian parents. His father was a farmer and his mother a nurse. He holds a diploma in theology from Queen’s University Belfast; a diploma in theology from the Irish Baptist College; a BA degree from Open University; an MA degree from Magee College Londonderry; and a Doctorate degree from Queen’s University Belfast.
He has three children and is a retired minister of religion. His interests are reading, hill walking, writing and enjoying nature.
