Mary-Denese Holmes
I live on the New England Tablelands of Australia, photographing, reading, writing, travelling, and planting out my property to provide a refuge for native animals, birds and insects. In previous working lives I have been a qualified horticulturalist, trauma therapist, clinical supervisor and editor. Over many years I have collected South East Asian textiles along with the stories of the women’s lives that have made the textiles. I have a love of listening to people’s stories and bringing forward the subjugated narratives that have disappeared or been discredited in the political spaces lives are lived out in.
