Vicky has worked as a speech and language therapist for over 20 years. She lived in Melbourne, Australia, for a number of years, from which grew a love of the Aussie language and slang which inspired this book. She now lives in Bath, England, with her husband, Jonathan, son, Olly and cat, Monkey.
