Marion Stenton
Born into an ordinary working-class family two years after the end of World War Two, Marion was fortunate to have a father whose example taught her, ‘You only live once.’ Education in the UK, Isle of Man, Rhodesia and finally back to Yorkshire was rudimentary, and she left school at fifteen to pursue a career in nursing. Married at eighteen, she returned to Rhodesia and the start of her university of life. She now lives in Derbyshire with her husband and dogs.
